Doesn't Microsoft already back up Microsoft 365?

Microsoft keeps the service running and offers short recovery windows, but it does not keep an independent, long-term backup of your data. Deleted email can usually only be recovered for 14 to 30 days, and SharePoint and OneDrive recycle bins empty after 93 days.
