About the course

SNSA for SonicOS 7 gives you the background, knowledge and hands-on experience to begin designing, implementing and troubleshooting SonicWall network security products. SonicOS 7 runs on SonicWall's latest physical and virtual firewalls, including the TZ, NSv, NSa and NSsp series. By the end of the course you will be able to configure, monitor, manage and optimise SonicWall firewalls for secure and remote connectivity, network optimisation and advanced threat protection.

Your exam is included in the course fee

  • One exam attempt is included with your course, taken online through SonicWall University after completing both the eLearning and the instructor-led class
  • 60 questions in 180 minutes, with a pass mark of 75%, covering all eLearning and classroom content
  • Proctored: use a single-monitor computer with a working webcam and microphone; no additional resources other than Google Translate
  • Your score is shown immediately, and your certificate is emailed once the review is complete, within four business days
  • Certification is valid for two years. If you don't pass first time, another attempt can be purchased from SonicWall University

Is the SNSA course online or in a classroom?

The SNSA is currently delivered online over 2 days as live, interactive, instructor-led training, so you can attend from anywhere in South Africa.

Is the SNSA exam included?

Yes. The official SNSA certification exam is included in the course fee. If you need a further attempt, it can be purchased from SonicWall University.

Do I need to do anything before the course?

Yes. About a week before the class we send you an activation key for the self-paced eLearning on SonicWall University. It takes about 4 hours, and completing it before the live class is highly recommended. You need to complete both the eLearning and the class before taking the exam.

What is the SNSA exam format?

The exam is taken online after the course: 60 questions in 180 minutes, with a pass mark of 75%. It is proctored, so you need a single-monitor computer with a working webcam and microphone.

How long is the SNSA certification valid?

SonicWall certifications are valid for two years from the date you pass. You can recertify once for a further two years by passing the same exam within three months of expiry.

Which SonicOS version does the course cover?

The course is based on SonicOS 7, the operating system on current SonicWall firewalls.

What comes after the SNSA?

Once you are SNSA certified, you can progress to the SNSP (SonicWall Network Security Professional) course for larger and more advanced configurations.
